My friend who ran for legislator almost won the election. She did a great job on her first campaign. I think she is set up to win the next election. I am very proud of Gina.

What a heck of a semester!!!! Classes are going great! So many psotive things have happened.
The Wishes group is awaiting a resolution for a county account to start recieving funds for the disability playground equipment in Otsiningo Park.
We are excited to have a board of directors to help create a 501c3 account to help with future projects in our community.
I am a coach in Public Acheivers this semester. I am working with children to help our community be more healthy. We are teaching them how to become leaders in their community.
I am also learning valueable grant writing tips while I continue to work on my grantwriting skills.
It feels great to help others!

Wishes disability support group will start meetings at the Johnson City YMCA. I am so glad to have meetings starting up. People can communicate so much better in a group that meets face to face. Our grant is going very well. The YMCA is willing to help our cause to supply the community with special needs playground equipment in our local park.
I started my BCC college classes again. I am taking a HMS 250 class that teaches me how to work with non profit organizations. I am also a coach for the public acheiver pilot offered in my community college. We will work with 5th graders who want to help their community. We will teach them how to communicate with their leaders to meet the communities needs.
I have the privilege of being in my best mentors class for polical science. Professor Garnar has really helped me understand my leadership skills and passion to help others. He also helped show me that local politics are very important in the way we live our lives. I know that I can touch others lives and help others live better.

Wishes starts our grant work for the new disability playground equipment. Yay!

Hello everyone,

I had a wonderful day today. I am in the process of starting a disablity support group that will meet weekly. I also volunteered at a local gym to work with people with disabilities. YAY!
I went to my first political campaign. It was so cool to see that people just like me can make a difference in their community! You don't have to know everything. You just have to care enough to do something. Even something small. I found several leaders who would like to be involved with helping people with disabilities. I will be helping Gina G. run for county legislator. It turns out that she is grateful for what ever help I can contribute. I look forward to helping Gina win the vote on November 6th.

My son will be able to start hippo therapy. This is horseback riding to help children build confidence and learn how to better control their bodies. He really enjoyed riding the horses. I was surprised because he is usually scared of animals. We still struggle with his fear of bugs. But we are trying to overcome his fear. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it! His sensory system is off, he sees and feels differently.
I will look up some info online and write what I found.
